HBO Max lets you add profiles for each member of your family, which can be useful if one or more members have different preferences. For example, you might want a kid’s profile that only allows them to watch child-friendly content.
However, you’ll need to set a parental code for the profile to prevent them from switching it to an adult account and watching adult content. You can do this on the profile selection screen or by signing into the app and tapping Settings > Manage Devices.
Streaming Limits for HBO Go and HBO Now
Unlike Netflix or Hulu, HBO Go allows you to register up to three devices, which can include your computer, phone, or other device. But it’s worth noting that simultaneous streaming is only available on two out of three devices at any given time.
If you try to play a movie or TV show on more than three registered devices at once, you’ll receive a pop-up message that tells you to stop streaming on a particular device before continuing. This can be frustrating if you’re trying to stream to your friends or family while they’re on vacation.
How to Find a Password For Your HBO Go Account
If your friend or family member has an HBO Go account, you can easily give them the password. But you should note that you’ll need to provide a unique email address and prepaid card for each new user. You should also cancel your HBO Go subscription before the end of the month to avoid being charged for an additional month.
How to Change Your HBO Go Subscription
If you’re not using the subscription you purchased, you can cancel it from the HBO Go website. You can also contact your TV provider to cancel it.
How to Change Your HBO Go Username and Password
If someone else has an HBO Go account, you can change your name by logging into their profile on the HBO Go website or on your mobile device. You can also change your password by logging into your HBO Go account on a desktop or laptop and clicking Change Password in the top right corner of the page.
